About the Home

Due to the site fall and being on a corner block, this home required a unique design approach. The home was designed to adapt to the fall of the land, through the use of split levels, with the home featuring five separate levels.

On approach to the home, the use of multiple roof levels and materials, including recycled bricks, James Hardie Axon cladding and contrasting rendered polystyrene board creates interest and appeal.

The master bedroom, elevated above the garage, has been positioned at the front of the home as the client wished to maximise the views to the golf course, through the use of an oversized window spanning the width of the room. The living/meals/kitchen area is central to the home, with large sliding doors opening to an ample alfresco deck area, featuring composite decking, encased by a Rendex lightweight modular wall fence to ensure privacy from the adjoining street. The main living area, featuring a concrete look panel feature wall, has a raised ceiling with highlight windows, which creates a light and open space.

A unique feature of the design is the second street access, complete with separate single garage and internal access into the pantry to ease the delivery of the weekly shopping. The minor bedrooms location therefore acts as a private wing, ideal for older teenagers or extended family members with their own car accommodation.
